Hi Cindy,
Hope everything is going good for you.

1.)   What kitchen gadgets do you use on a regular basis?  I absolutely love my Keurig Coffee Maker that I got us for Christmas.  I use it 2-3 times a day.  It makes the best protein coffee.

2.)  victories/challenges this past week?  Working lots of extra hours for our largest fund raising event the end of this month.  I've had victories and challenges at play practice because there are so many snacks for the cast to eat on.  Some days have been better than others.

3.)  Plans for the weekend?  Not much tonight.  Tomorrow babysitting both DGD's.  DGD#1 in the morning - she has strep throat and scarlet fever right now(not contagious anymore).  DGD#2 is going to come tomorrow afternoon and spend the night with us.  Sunday I am going to listen to a friend speak at her church and we have play practice and work to do to get ready for the play.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Linda

Linda - if we're talking about coffee makers too - then mine is my FAVORITE appliance in the kitchen!!

Wouldn't it be great if they made a protein coffee you could just brew and get 20g in each cup?  LOL...

Jody, if I were the creative type that might be something to look into.  You see these people making millions of dollars off of things they come up with- maybe a protein coffee ready to brew would be the thing!!  We could get rich and retired - wouldn't that be great.

I guess a coffee maker would be an appliance and maybe not a gadget, but I don't use too many gadgets. haha

Hope everything goes good for you next week.  Keep us updated.

Well, here goes:

1.)   What kitchen gadgets do you use on a regular basis?
I use my fancy shmancy wine opener (not too often though), my pampered chef chopper, and my blender bottle lots and lots. I don't cook much, so that's about it.

2.)  victories/challenges this past week?
Oh, I was one big challenge. Life is a bit of a mess right now. However, I did have a victory and ran my second half marathon last weekend and beat my personal record for time.

3.)  Plans for the weekend?
Tonight, I am going to a fundraiser Pampered Chef party at a friend's house. Should be fun. Tomorrow, I plan to run and clean house, like scrub tubs type cleaning. Tomorrow night, I have plans to go to a girls' night at another friend's house. Sunday.....hmmm. Dunno. Probably another run or a hike. I feel really free to relax this weekend.

My favorite kitchen gadget? The microwave, my jr. blender, the scale and my blender bottle.
Victories/challenges? Feeling better this week. Challenge was a birthday with 2 cakes and donuts. Didn't touch a thing.
No plans for the weekend as usual.

1) Kitchen gadgets: Blender bottle with wire ball and the coffee pot. If I have those 2 gadgets, I'm golden.

2) Victories and challenges: Wisdom tooth pulled...all week PITA.

3) Weekend plans:  Thinking about going dress shopping for the formal dinner on the cruise. I definitely need a personal shopper.

1. Garlic press, microwave, and my SCALE!  I LOVE that thing and am thinking about buying another for the boat and camper! (DH says that's the sign of mental illness and he'll throw it overboard or run over it if I do).

2. Victories - was released from plastics scar checks for 3 months, and he says he thinks what I have is what I'll keep, so I got to get new bras that are CUTE and FIT during the VS semi-annual sale! (It's actually miserable to need a 32D - you CAN'T get them at WalMart or Target, and even Kohls has very few and they are NOT cute).

Challenges - had a funny one today.  We had a psych/social worker inservice in the small theater at the high school.  I broke the seat I was in - and they all laughed because they all know that I lost a ton of weight and it had nothing to do with my size.  But I got razzed about it anyway being delayed retribution!

3. DH is working tomorrow, which means I can clean the house using my routine and schedule, not his.  Then we're looking at getting together with friends on Sunday for the real SuperBowl - the Bears/Packers game for the NFC championship.

Coffee pot, microwave and the grill on my stove

2.)  victories/challenges this past week?

Victories, I went to Curves 4 x and to Zumba and lost 2 lbs, yeah

Challenges, Dealing with the cold, I am so tired of it
