Couch to 5K

Gonna start the Couch to 5K program this weekend  ... It's like a 9 week program, so I'm gonna try and pick a 5K that is 10 weeks out.

awesome program!  i started it in october!  just did my 3rd 5k last sunday!  i'm going to try and do a 5k every month just to keep me going.  if i know i've got it to do, i'll keep running/training....if i don't have it to do i could easily just sit down and decide "not today" and then "not tomorrow" and then i'll be right back where i started!  you'll do great!

hi yaaaaaaaa,
i too did 3 5 k runs and my last one i came in 2nd place for my age group wahooo!!!!
anyway ,i too wanna do 1 a month but there arent any in my area just yet. hopefully when the warmer weather comes around , there will be.
there is one in manhatten called " the cupids chase" on feb 12 its for people with disabilities i love it when my fee goes to something worth while. i may do that one

It is a great program. It is what got me started on running. I never would have thought i would turn into a runner, but I did. Have fun!

I promised my knees I'd get below 200 before I started jogging again.  If I stay on my current weight loss path, it will be next month. 

Maybe I'll play then.

Before your knees totally decide to wait for 200, have them check out the amount of walking and the amount on running in the program in the early weeks :-)
