Are you sure it is Syntrax?  I've never seen it when I've looked at sites for Syntrax or on their website (I don't think on their website).

Its a Syntrax Matrix 5.0 brand - but still part of syntrax.  Apparently its quite new.

I bought mine online at Netrition.com.  Only place I found it - I even checked Amazon.

This stuff is amazing - tastes great!.  I don't use it exclusively for my protein because it does have higher calories and some carbs, but its great to put in your coffee or make a shake out of.

I made a "milkshake" for my BF and his daughter - they both loved it.

Hey Jody, I did some searching for it after you posted about it. You are right -- only Netrition has it. I didn't realize it had more calories and carbs. I didn't order it, but had it in the shopping cart!! :)

Is it 100% whey protein too?

Its not a Whey ISOLATE, but has a good concentration of proteins in it, and yes, its Whey.

I seem to be a Whey Isolate snob when it comes to proteins.  I was reading an article awhile ago about proteins with WLS and the farther out you get you don't necessarily need Isolates as much - they're good for certain things, like when you first get up, etc., but the rest of the time a Whey concentrate will do you good.  They almost made it sound like the Isolates were lacking in something the concentrates had, but its been awhile and my memory isn't that good for details like that.

With all the exercising you do, this protein would be good for you as it does have some good carbs in it and although its higher in calories, you'll burn them efficiently.  It also has some other vits and goodies in it.

Yup - after it was mentioned on the FB/LW board I searched too, and so far that's the ONLY way I can find it. I called a couple local stores that carry Syntrax lines/flavors, and they've never heard that it's available.

I want vitalady to carry it so I can try a sample!!!

Toni - I LOVE chocolate mint too, and what I do is take my chocolate protein and put it in my coffee, then use a peppermint paddy mint SF syrup - NO calories.  I buy it from Vitalady, but they don't ship the syrups in the winter time due to freezing.

I haven't looked for it anywhere else, but I'm sure its out there.  I found peppermint extract, even 1 drop, to be WAY too strong for my tastes.

I would even thing a "creme de menthe" SF flavoring would work very well too. You might try the Toriani sight.
