Just an Update on Me...
Good luck with your soft foods. That's actually what I've been doing this week to "get back to basics". You'll have times when it seems like you've stopped losing, and next thing you know, its started back up.
I tracked my weight loss each day that I lost. It definitely kept my sanity in check. When I thought I was having a bad month, I'd just look back for the past 30 days and see how I was progressing - it almost ALWAYS showed I was still on track.

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it. Took 8 months.
90+/- pounds lost BMI - 24 or so
Starting BMI between 35 and 40ish?

I love your "take charge" attitude about dropping the weight. I hope the move goes smoothly. As a big kitty lover, I have learned the kitties just don't like change unless it is on their terms. I am not sure this is necessary but one idea would to have your BF feed her for a while. That might help kitty understand that he is her friend.

BUT - she is ALWAYS on his lap when he's here. I guess he's softer and cushier than me - LOL... He pets her, talks to her, etc... Perhaps its more the dog... but like I said before, she even did this on occasion before him. It usually was when I was gone for work for long periods of time, she'd be fine while I was gone, then when I got home she'd leave a "surprise" for me...
Yea, she doesn't like change or other animals... I acquired her when I lived in VA alone and was told at the time she was best in a "no other animal" home. Then I moved back to Michigan where there was another cat AND a dog. Her and the dog ended up being civil but she NEVER got used t the other cat. Of course the other dog was a lot older and was raised with cats, so he didn't pay her any mind, but this one is 2 years old and wants to play! LOL..
The vet did talk about putting her on anti-depressants... hmmm.. not likely... I did buy the expensive plug-in that has the smell cats leave when they rub on something.. forgot the name.. didn't help at all. Its supposed to calm them.

I definitely know I wouldn't miss the cat hair!! But I've always had a cat in one way or another. Don't know how long I'd last before I got another - but this time it would hopefully be dog friendly and they'd get along....
