Just an Update on Me...

Jody, I knew you would drop the pounds, but how nice to get on the scale and see results!!!!

Hope you hire or conscript help (your son?) for the move. I used to move often and finally realized I had to hire someone to help. My friends and I were getting too old to risk our backs and livelihoods.

Thanks for the fashion posts.

Wendy - I'm thinking the same thing.  BF asked me about moving and I told him I should just hire someone for all the big stuff - he puffs up his chest and says "there's me and my friends - we can move you" - LOL... uh huh... bad shoulder and all!  There really isn't a lot that's big that needs to be moved, and quite frankly it will just be easier to hire it done... I'll all for the Easy Button!!

Thanks Roz!  You're always one of my biggest cheerleaders!!

I'm going to continue keeping my protein WAY up there for after the surgery too - I've heard so many stories where they say it definitely helps in the healing process.

Thanks Jody...I'm definitely the oldest one.  I'll bet Protein does help.  Just like it helps with hair loss it probably helps to heal tissue to.  You are going to look so Great for your new Guy!!!

Jody, congratulations on dropping the 5 pounds.  I bet the other 3 will fall off soon!!

Glad you got the condo.  Hope you can get some help moving.  Does BF ride a motorcycle too?

My DGD's live within 30-45 minutes and I love it.  Although they are almost 2 and don't like to sit in your lap and let you hold them as much now.  I'm ready for another baby!!

Good luck on your surgery next week.  Do you have someone that will let us know how you are doing???  I'll be swingin my Little Willie for you.

Sounds like you are doing really good.

Thanks Linda!

No, he doesn't ride - but a bunch of his friends do and I'm going to try and get him on one.  He might get a little upset when I'm out riding with them without him!

I'll be able to get online either Monday night or Tuesday morning.  Its outpatient and I have to be there at 7:30 and its about 7-8 hours that I'll be there.

My DD just got a job and of course I paniced because she's supposed to be taking me and picking me up - lol.  BF is in pieces because he can't be there.  He has a mandatory 2 day meeting he HAS to attend...

Oh - and you know what else I forgot to post?  Got a phone call from my boss and he told me I got a VERY nice raise yesterday - WOOHOO!!  Then I got my condo signed paperwork... it was a very good day for me.

Raise - what's that.  We haven't had one in about 4 years!!

I'm glad your DD found a job.  That's pretty hard to do right now.  Is it with a police dept?

I'll bet he will learn to ride or ride with you - LOL.  It won't take many times of you leaving him to ride with others!!

I didn't get a raise last year... first time ever...

yes, she got a police officer job.  Its 10 hours a week but will keep her busy and her certification good until she gets called back to her "old" job.  She also has an application in with a state university - pays less than her old job, but the benefits are it would pay for her and her hubby's masters degrees, and when her DD goes to college - its ALL paid for.  I told her that was worth the difference in pay....

Yea.. he won't like it when I got off on rides.  Oh well... we talked about still doing the things we enjoy doing.  I'm not going to stop him from fishing and hunting... and I don't want to go with him either!  LOL

Congratulations with the condo!  That is fabulous news.
I am looking forward to grandchildren one day!  Glad you are enjoying yours.
My husband and son keep their bikes in the heated garage too.....they say they run better because no extreme temps! :-)
Well done with the weight loss.  I think I have slowed down now, moved to the next phase of being post op.  Eating soft foods seems to slow things down.  Thanks for being such a good role model.
Will be swinging critters for you.
Take care
Ginny
