I have been getting a lot of are you ok comments?  My sister has told me that my Dad is worried about me and has had a few other people ask her if I was taking this weightloss to far.  My partner at work said that a few of our clients ask if I was sick.  I am down to 124 to 127 and have been there for about 6 months.  So I ask my 24 year old son if he thought that I look sick and (he never holds back)  said that I look good except my hair looked dead!  He says it makes me look sickly.  Any ideas?

How are your labs looking? Have you been taking all your vitamins? Getting all your protein? Getting all your water/fluids in?

The vets here will have more ideas.

I think we've all been through this...

I had a girlfriend look at a picture of me this past June and tell me I looked "gaunt"... I was the same weight I was when we looked at it.

Your weight does redistribute and can take time.  That was almost a year after I hit goal...

Now, about your hair.  Did you lose a lot?  There are a lot of people here who got their hair cut short because of the thinning hair.

You may want to try a new style or styling products.Sometimes styling products can weigh hair down too and make it look flat and lifeless.

Thanks Jody,  I have cut off my hair to a new short trendy cut.  I always had thin hair and then yes I did lose a ton.   Now it just seems dry and lifeless.

I did tell my family that my weight will redistribute, but I don't think that they get it!

I went and looked at your pictures after I posted - and your hair looks great in the close up one.  Has it changed?

I have to use a leave-in conditioner, and use styling products or my hair is flatter than flat and duller than dull....

right now I'm using a Kerastase product - expensive but nice feeling.

It is a little more dry and thin looking (straw like)

Where do you buy Kerastase?

At a salon/spa here.  The leave in hair oil is $53 itself, then I use the shampoo and conditioner and those together are like $80... OUCH!

I'm using the shampoo for "mature" hair now but don't think it works as well as the regular product I used from them before.

I saw an infomercial last week and they were advertising WEN.  Went and looked it up online and wouldn't mine giving it a try, but it bugs the crap out of me when you have to sign up for automatic reorder shipments.  I just want to try it then order it again if I like it.  So I haven't...

Thanks,  I have been using Nioxin for a long time and I am afraid to stop using it.  I don't want to lose anymore hair.

I was using Nioxin and it dried the HELL out of my hair. I finally said, "screw this!" and stopped using it and am using a more moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Hi Jody :)

Wen is amazing stuff! It had been a miracle for my hair!

You can order the special and then call and cancel the extra shipments if you don't like it. Sally's also sells a comparable product called Hair One that costs ALOT less. I haven't tried it though because the Wen has made my such a huge difference, I am addicted to it!!
