My friends, let's forget about the scale for a moment and celebrate our NSVs.  Please share your top five (so far!).

My top five are:

1. Getting rid of six meds and counting
2. Becoming reacquainted with my wardrobe - it is a sentimental journey
3. Being able to tie my shoes and reach body parts without having to behave like a contortionist
4. No fear of embarassment from seat belts
5. Seeing my toes

NSV stands for a non-scale victory.

Okay, I'll play. Though we share several.

1. Walking the dog with joy, I can move better and faster
2. Wearing old favorites I had clung to in hope of fitting someday
3. Felt something in my chest and thought it was a lump, till I realized it was the end of my sternum
4. Easier shoe tying
5.Feeling lighter, it's hard to describe, but I feel lighter in body and spirit

I have not met my sternum yet but I am looking forward to getting better acquainted.  What a great story!

1. Getting rid of all my diabetes meds
2.  Seeing my liver enzymes go towards normal
3.  Cleaning out my closet of clothes that are too big and opening box of "old" clothes that now fit
4.  Laughing a whole lot more
5.  Feeling hopeful instead of resigned

I get the sense that you are putting things in perspective, and just enjoying life more.  WTG!

I am, and what is surprising to me is realizing how my health was affecting everything in my life.  My husband says I'm a changed person as far as energy and being more outgoing.  I didn't realize how much I had withdrawn into myself in the last few years.  People don't comment on my weight loss, but they do say I look better and my color is better.  I'm so glad I have the LW forum, and thank you.

I will join in on this one,

1. reached for a towel today and realized it was a REGULAR bath towel and not a BEACH towel!
2. can cross my legs again
3. able to walk without having an asthma attack
4. I can bend over and tie my shoes with out having to grab my pant leg to bring it up.
5. feel cleaner! ( this can be interpreted ANY way you want, it applies to every aspect of feeling clean)

The impact on your asthma is amazing but I really love the towel example!
