Haha - funny you say that - I was wondering the same thing in how much they weight - LOL....

It'll never be totally out of the house - I need to just learn to deal with it being here, and not drinking it.

Hi Jody, I've been gone for the weekend and am so busy around the house today that I don't know if I will get totally caught up on the board, but I logged in to do my menus and calories on the health tracker and saw your post on my main page. I'm not up 10, but I'm up a couple and it's really bothering me. I've been letting loose on the weekends since I've been maintaining. I am super careful all week, then eat whatever I want on the weekends. It has worked really well for me, but the past two weekends it has turned into a total binge...that's not good. I can be up 3-4 pounds every Monday, then lose it during the week. That is not healthy physically or mentally. I eat healthy, work out, and have gone through so many healthy menal changes since surgery, but old unhealthy behaviors have been creeping back in.

I think I will do liquids today to detox too. Also, I am cutting my now nightly popcorn out of my menus. Too many calories that could be spent on some lean meat or veggies or something that doesn't remind me of chips.

Hang in there, you can totally do this, and I'll do it with you. I refuse to get fat again, and it is waaay too easy to do.

So far so good on the liquids. I have been so busy that I really didn't think about eating. My friends and some family members roll their eyes at me too when I freak about a couple of pounds. They tell me I need to gain a few anyway. I figure most of them are just jealous because they are all overweight.

Hi Jody,
I too have looked at you as a successful veteran ever since I first joined this board, and you still are!  I believe that we will always have to be aware of our challenges. Hang in there as you get back on track.  I too am having to get back on track and thought I was really upping my protein, but you have challenged me to up it even more, I have never gotten my protein up to 150.  I really need something to jolt me back to dropping toward my goal.  I'm so glad that you have support from your BF.

Thanks Linda!  Really the only reason I'm upping it to 150 is to get ready for my surgery.  I want to keep it up in that range afterwards too - I've heard it really helps the healing process.

So I guess its a double benefit - get ready for surgery AND detox/decarb myself!

I think it's awesome that you are using the board to keep you accountable ... It also acts as a great teaching tool for us newbies

That's what's great about this board. The people are supportive here and many know what I'm going through, but I don't remember hearing a lot about maintenance during my active weight loss....  or I didn't think "I'd have that problem"....

Its reality.  Yes there are some folks that follow the lifestyle to a T, but then there are others, like me that don't.  And when I don't I really don't just throw caution to the wind.. and am mindful of what I'm doing, but it can still catch you by surprise...

The mistake I made was abusing my honeymoon period.  I KNEW I was on borrowed time and it was so funny, like a switch being flipped, and then I was fighting the gain when just a month or 2 before I was basking in the glow of malabsorption - LOL...

I knew it would happen, now I need to find that happy medium.
