In honor of MLK Day.... Read THE HELP

Gina posted a wonderful tribute and reminder about MLK day and Toni posted a beautiful poem.  Price's comment about her childhood in the south made me think of this wonderful read that was illuminating, but at the same time fun. It's just a good read plain and simple.

Kathy, I just finished that book a few weeks ago and I really felt it to be such an important book...and such a great story, to boot.  I was growing up in that era (although not in the south...in a storybook microcosum, Salt Lake City, Utah) and was so taken back that all of that happened and I was SO oblivious!  I feel it's a book that everyone should read...it's eye-opening and inspirational and just a great read.
