I am wondering what the difference is between zinc and "chelated" zinc? And if anyone is familiar with Feosol carbonyl iron? It is 45 mg of elemental iron. (My plan is to take 1000 mg of C with it) I bought it yesterday from Walmart, and can't help but think I should have asked on here first.

And also when you say we should take dry D3, is it just as good to take the liquid form (5,000 iu taken with my calcium citrate chews)? I see that the dry form is more economical so I will be switching, but in the meantime I sure hope I haven't been wasting my money and precious time on keeping my levels up. Hope to here all your opinions :)

I want to say the chelated just makes the mineral more absorbable for us. I'm familiar with carbonyl iron since it's what Vitalady puts her "Tender" label on. Carbonyl is better absorbed by us and a little less likely to cause difficult constipation. I use carbonyl iron with C.

I think you'll be fine with the liquid D3 until you can get your capsules. Go ahead and take 10,000IUs minimum of the D3. Taking it with calcium is a good idea too.

thank you Gina. I knew you'd be there to step up for me. I appreciate it. I am trying so hard, but often rely on my memory when getting vitamins, and I end up standing in the vitamin aisle, gawking like a fool.

I am doing my best to memorize this necessay info, but like to have it confirmed when I am not sure.

Also I aim for two 300 mg of chewable calcium, taken 3x daily, but I sometimes forget that last dose. Do you think I am capable of absorbing THREE calciums 300mg? then I can cram them into twice daily?? Hhmmmmm.

Don't tell anybody but 2 of my calcium batches are 900mg. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get in 3,000mg a day and all the iron I have to take. Remember about keeping iron and calcium separate.

Which is why I'm planning on taking calcium at each meal and my chewable complete Vits at bedtime.  I think I've got that much memorized.  lol
