I have a hernia on my belly button...Do you think the surgeon will fix it or do you think I will have to have it fixed first then schedule my WLS?

Thanks

I had several large hernia's that were fixed during surgery.  Since surgery, I have a small lump right under my navel.  My PCP said it was an incisional hernia.  My Surgeon said it wasn't but they did fix a hernia there also.  He said it could have just been a lump of fat that got stuck (hernia is a hole in the muscle).  It doesn't bother me at all so I don't think they will do anything about it although he did say they could fix it if I wanted.

Thanks!! I want to get it fixed. I have had it for 11 years now. It doesn't hurt unless I bend over alot...When I'm doing my spring/fall cleaning the next day I pay for cleaning that much :) but its gotta get done.

Thanks again!

Your surgeon should be able to fix it while you are having your surgery.

Good luck,
Holly
