Slept late, then got up and helped my 12-year old put his contacts in! He fell and broke his wrist 2 days after my surgery, so we've been convalescing together. Fixed him breakfast, protein coffee for me.
Then I attacked my pantry. This should have been cleaned out before surgery, but it never happened. I set aside part of a shelf just for me and my new foods...oatmeal, sugar free this and that, flavorings, protein powders and drinks. Now I can locate everything easily. (Finallly found a protein drink at Costco I can stomach. It's already mixed and so easy to work with....thank the Lord!)
Doc took out my staples and cleared me to work out yesterday. Walked a mile on the treadmill and it felt good.
I beautiful, near-80 degree day here in the OC. May drag hubby to "The King's Speech" tonight!
Kudos to you. I didn't get a whole lot accomplished after my surgery until about 2 weeks out.
I think you're talking about the Premier Protein drink at Costco? I read so many postings from people saying it's the only protein they can stomach, and I agree. It's the only protein I can deal with, and it's easy!

Yes, you're right. Instead of "stomach it" it might be better to say tolerate it. I bought 3 or 4 of highly recommended powders, and I hated all of them. It seemed like I could taste the protein in all of them--even the unflavored variety. It seemed like they were all thick, and the sweetened ones tasted too sweet for me. It also seemed like I burped them up a lot.
Fortunately, when I was out of town, my friend had a Costco membership, and I bought 1 case of the Premier Protein to try. I don't love it, but it's ok. Plus it has 30g of protein in just 11 oz. A few weekends ago I made the trip to my nearest Costco (over an hour away), paid that $50 membership fee, and bought 3 cases of the Premier Protein. It's the only variety I'll drink.

Thanks Kim! I'm keeping a list of ones to try if the one I got from Walmart isn't great. So far, Costco and GNC and Syntrax products have been recommended. (Is the Syntrax what you meant by sweetened ones?)
I tried some in my coffee and didn't care for the thickness, plus combined like that it acted like it was a fiber or something. Burping plus... y'know... the other...

Well, I got up, had to be decent by 8 since Sear's service was coming to fix/service my washer and service the dryer. I still have one more year on my maint contract and mean to use them.
Then I got online and chatted. I own a private chat room that some friends of mine and I use every weekend and have since I discovered it. Before that we used various chat clients but we've been chatting every weekend for almost 15 years.
