November or December Surgery Results to Date!
I had VSG 12/20. I've lost 16 lbs so far--not much, but I'm pleased with it. I've had some really difficult days dealing with acid reflux and resultant no sleep, but physically I feel pretty good. The acid is more controlled now, and I'm seeing a gastroenterologist on Feb 2 to try to get the acid even better controlled.

HI! I had RNY on 12/7 and my starting weight was 220 and I am down to 196. Things have been going well. I haven't had any nausea or vomiting, thank goodness. I hate throwing up! I am walking on the treadmill for exercise and still on soft foods. I am still happy with my decision, every day it gets better and better. I try each day to drink all of my fluids, get in my protein, and eat my vitamins.
I had RNY on Dec 13th...my starting weight was 225 and as of yesterday morning (I'm trying really...really....reallly hard to not weigh myself daily - VERY HARD) I was 202....so down 23lbs.
I'm on regular foods (for lack of better words).....no restrictions...can't eat a lot....so far I haven't met a food my pouch doesn't like...though I haven't been brave enough to test any waters. I think the most sugar I've at any given meal (or day at that) was 7 grams total. I don't do bread.....
I need to introduce myself to exercise though...lol....maybe it will help=)
