Weight History Question
I have my consultation with the surgeon next week, but I'm trying to get everything insurance needs in order before I go.
My insurance requires a 5-year weight history which isn't an issue, but it is a pain in the butt getting my medical records from the military. I requested them and received 2 random reports per year for 5 years. The reports have my weight at the time, but I'm wondering if 2 weights per year will be enough for the insurance company? I've called UHC about it, but they aren't much help.
I can request my full records, but seeing as how it took 2 months to get this I'm hoping that this is enough. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm sure the surgeon's office could request them, but I know when my PCP requested my records that it took almost 6 months and they still didn't get what they asked for.

I think you'll have to go with what you have but I'd go ahead and see if the surgeon would request your full military medical file for future use. They may be difficult to get if they have to convert them from paper to electrons, or electrons to paper. You need to try to get them though.
Wishing you good luck with the surgeon and getting through insurance approval.

My insurance only needed one weight per year for 5 years. So if you have 2 a year, that should do it. I could have even done it from weighing in at Curves eveidently, according to my Dr office.

Thankfully, I see an outside provider, Are you Standard or Prime?
You always have the option to head to where your medical records are at and request copies while you wait. ( have done this many times) I had no problem with getting most of what I need. PM me if you need additional help the military is kinda difficult.
