Am I the only one who gets hungry?
I see what you are saying, Price. I am less aware of being hungry wehn I am busy and out of the house. The rub is then I sometimes wait too long to eat and can forget to slow down by the time I have a meal. I need to find some good "grab food" options for my desk. Not sure what yet. Most of my current snacks require a frig.
I work from home so I always have a frig. But when I have meetings out or something that will keep me gone for a few hours, I keep protein bars (still only eat 1/2), cheese sticks, yogurt with me so I don't get tempted by stopping for something that isn't as healthy. If I am driving all day, I also take protein powder. Sunday I made decaf protein at a gas station that had ho****er. Just takes some planning ahead.
At 6 weeks out, I was eating 1/4 c. Now I eat about 1/2c / 3/4c.

I had a lot of hunger when i first came home from the hospital lol . Now i was NAUSEOUS at the very same time ... go figure .
How much of that was mental withdrawal from binging , how much physical .... Im not sure ... but i had thoughts of different foods ALL THE TIME .
the way i coped with it was to cook fat and largely sugar free so I didn't end up WEARING my cravings lol.....
interestingly enough 21 months post I have very litlte hunger . This may be due to 9 plus months of daily OA meetings and writing steps too ...
but I really HAVE settled into listening to my body , eating when im hungry and NOT eating when im not .....
im actually eating a lot less than i was in the first six months ..... weird . So far my weight isnt really reflecting it - its staying the same but im under a lot of stress and I think as soon as I begin to work less and exercise more I will see it in spades .
I wouldnt worry too much ... and try to eat low cal highly nutritious things like spinach puree ..... .
Air popped popcorn was also a godsend snack food for me - totally low cal , helathy whole grain and a LOT OF FOOD for very little calories
A sure way to banish hunger 4 me is with a scoop of protein shake ( i love isopure banana ) mixed up with only a little water and eiither coffee or very hot chai tea poured over the top. I think the protein keeps ya full...

Thanks, Mini-me's Mommy - all good advice. Yes, I am mindful of when the hunger is a need to graze versus physical hunger. At work, I am too busy to think about grazing so I know it is hunger. I look forward to the day when my pouch accepts popcorn. At this point, I am stuck on the soft food phase, though my RD gave me the oaky to eat general foods a few weeks ago. Oh well, good things come to those who wait!
