Just wanted to re-introduce myself!!! with pics...
Hi Lightweights
I am sorry for not being around this past year but life has gotten in the way. I have made a goal this year to become more active in the lightweight board once again.
I am now almost 18 months out from my RNY and it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have learned so many things these past 18 months. It has been a big adjustment for me because I was a huge emotional eater and when life was tough before RNY food was my best friend. These days I have to feel my feelingsbecause I am unable to stuff them down with food.
I am so happy not to have the extra weight slowing me down and contributing to my chronic back and leg pain. Although the chronic pain has not resolved it is better and my stamina is a lot better. Life is so much easier now that I have lost almost 90 lbs. I am still hoping to get to my big goal of losing 100 pounds but my current focus is having a baby.
This past august/september I found out at 37 years old that I am in premature ovarian failure and am not yet married or have any children. The main reason I had the RNY was to lose the weight so I could carry a pregnancy with my back issues and have a healthy baby. My doctors warned that my BMI needed to be under 30 prior to getting pregnant. I did meet that goal only to find out it was too late to have a baby that is genetically related to me. After much thought, I decided to go thru IVF with donor eggs. I am currently in the midst of the IVF process and hope to have a baby sometime next fall. I'll need lots of swinging critters this next month.
I have been around OH just not posting very often. I am looking forward to re-connecting with all of you and meeting all the newbies here at the LW Board.
Here are my before and afters:
Before August 2009
After November 2010
After November 2010

You look fantastic!!! I'm glad you've come back to us! I'm sorry to hear that your plans have taken such a drastic turn! It sounds like you have found a great alternative and I hope you are able to make it happen! You will be a great mother to ANY child! You should give me a call sometime. We really need to get together! You were the lone MN LW's for quite some time...now there are A TON of us!

Hi Heather
I think we should have an ongoing dinner, kind of like MajorMom has with her DS buddies in her neck of the woods! Maybe we could do lunch sometime in February and make some plans for our local lightweights! It would be fun and I would like a in-person nice smallish informal support group that is local. I am a organized mess currently can you PM me your phone number again and I willl do the same!
