Finally have my date to see the surgeon

I have completed everything that I was suppose to complete and I finally got my date for the consultations with the surgeon.  This is the last thing you do and then they submit to insurance and once you get the approval they will set up a date for surgery.  I just wish they could set the date up now so I dont have to wait even longer to try and get a date for the OR.  I asked them how long it would take to get ins. approval they said well with your ins. it has been taking 1 to 3 months.

Good luck getting through this process. It shouldn't take more than a month to hear back from insurance. I think the surgeon's practice is giving you worst case and maybe compensating for their own processing time.

Hang tough!

The surgeon's office says it should take them about a week on their end to process and submit to ins.  They said my ins has been really bad since September about dragging their feet on approvals.  Perhaps it will be since it is after the first of the year, fingers crossed.  I am just so scared that I have gotten this far to then be denied.  Also what should expect from my appointment from my surgeon?
Thanks

My insurance was quick but I know some can be slow.  I would be sure to follow up to be sure the stuff gets sent, the insuance has it, if they need anything more, you get the pix.  Sometimes stuff just gets lost sitting on someone's desk.

Congratulations on getting everything completed and a date with the surgeon.  My surgeon went over the types of surgery that he performs and we talked about them and which would be best for me.  I had a list of questions and he very patiently answered them all.  He discussed with DH and I everything we wanted to talk about.  DH and I felt so good when we left.

My insurance approved the day after I completed my six months of counseling.

You will have a date before long and your time will be here!!  Keep us updated.
