breast augmentation
Any ideas, anyone have a pro or con to what kind is best? I know all our bodies are different...starting to really look into this! When I went into VS for bras I was told I am smaller than a 32 A!!! OH my never, have I been that small....my 12 yr old daughter is starting to look bigger than me! :(
We are looking to be in Tampa Fl in March, looking at different Dr's there....anyone that knows of anyone in the Fl area, by Tampa let me know. Looking at R& R, and surgery....seems to be the way for me. I did that with Surgery too....
I posted on plastics but haven't had much luck.
Thanks everyone! Lou~

I'm not sure what you mean by "what kind is best"? There are a couple of different types of implants. My Dr uses saline. He will be putting it under the muscle. When I went for my consult here the Dr had me hold 2 different kinds. Sorry I can't remember but one was like a gel, the other saline. The saline was more pliable and felt more natural.
My "homework" before my consult with the surgeon doing the BL/BA was to go online and look at BA pics, print some out, what I did and didn't like, and we sat down and went over why I did or didn't like them. That gives him a good idea of what I want as an end result. Also gives him a good idea of the size I'm looking for. You can google "Breast Augmentation pictures" and websites of plastic surgery before/afters will come up. Even if your Dr doesn't ask you to do that, I think its good to see end results and you could even take some with you to show what you want.
I'm getting my BL/BA the 24th...
The plastics board used to be very active (last year anyway), but I've noticed its not nearly as much now. I posted something well over a month ago and never got a reply on it. I've been thinking about it again since my surgery is less than 2 weeks away. I just want to have some idea what to expect for recovery, but from the sounds of people before, it doesn't sound all that bad. Each person is different.
Good luck!

I can definately sympathize with the loss of my breast but the way I figure it is you have to take the good with the bad. My daughter definately has more than me now. My husband says I have gone from handfuls to two fingers. I have gone through so many surgeries I don't think I could bring myself to have another one at this point. Good luck with your decisions. Guess I will just have to depend on the good ole push up bra.
I have the silicone gummy implants and I have really liked them. They feel very much like breast tissue (squishy yet firm) does that make sense? I got mine 7 years ago when I weighed about 150 and then over the next few years gained about 55 pounds. Since I've lost weight they still are looking pretty good. The only thing I regret is not getting them UNDER the muscle because they have fallen quite a bit especially with my weight loss and I think if they had been under the muscle they probably would be perkier now. My Dr had one of the implants on his desk that he had me poke holes in with a big wig pin and then squeeze it as hard as I could to show how it would not leak, it was really interesting. I will eventually be having plastics done and will have my breasts redone with a lift and I would definitaly go with the gummies again just under muscle. Hope this helps!
