Home from the hospital...Again

I was admitted into the hospital for most of the day.  The left side pain had gotten unbearable and my dr. order a ct scan.  Thankfully all went well, but he said with the amount of adhesions they had to get through, he understood why I was in so much pain, but anatomically things looked great.  So, here I am, still in pain, but grateful that everything in the inside looks fine.  Please keep me in your special thoughts and prayers.  On a sidenote, I experienced what eating too fast and too much feels like and I wont be doing that again anytime soon.  We stopped for soup on the way home and I didnt measure and keep sipping until I felt like I was going to explode.  I wasnt paying attention to the amount and that is never good.  So lesson learned.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.  Do you have pain pills you can take?  I'm glad everything looked ok on the CT Scan.

It won't take much to fill you up right now.  Be careful and measure/weigh so you don't mess up the staple line inside.  You also probably don't have the feeling back yet and won't be able to tell when you get full until it is too late!!

Hang in there.  It gets much better.

Ohhhhh, that is a hard lesson so early out.  I could barely do 1/4c at that point and that wasn't all the time.
Glad everything is ok inside and you can keep healing.  I had lots of adhesions also and it did make everything sore and really black and blue on the outside.

I didn't really "feel" restricted until the nerve endings started growing back together.  I was really hungry the first two weeks.  Once those nerve endings reconnect, you'll feel the restriction.  In the meantime, stick with the surgeons recommended portions.  Good luck.  Take care.
