Clothing Exchange Question

Howdy,

Stacey's post below prompted me to ask this question.... do we have a place for clothing exchanges or a way to find out if folks need clothes?

I'm out of the 20's and going into the 16's. I have several pairs of 20's and 18's in jeans/pants/even carhartt (hunting type) pants. I'm NOT a fashion diva, so my stuff is generally serviceable for working outdoors - not so much for fancy dress up or work. I usually give to the Salvation Army and am thinking of giving this stuff to the Women's Shelter in the area - but thought I might go through OH and see if someone could use this stuff and then pass it on when they shrink out of it.

Just a thought - that I am sure has come up on here before! Any tips would be appreciated.

I am not really sure if there is a clothing exchange. Something to definately look into though.

I vowed to not my anything new until goal (except undies) so all my clothes have gone to a local thrift store and that is where my wardrobe comes from.  My surgeon doesn't do an exchange but I think some local support groups do in some areas.

I was thinking that some of my stuff might be good for someone with horses/ponies and outdoor activities. You were one I thought of that might actually wear some stuff that I had. But I think you're further along than I am, so it wouldn't work for me to share my stuff with you.

If there's not a lot of interest, I'll just go the thrift store or women's shelter route. No biggie.

I would be and certainly look for that kind of thing when I shop.  I lived in snow pants last weekend at the horse show and at home, I work outside in insulated overalls.  Only problem is I am a little ahead of you, wearing 14s.  Thanks for the thought.  And my stuff would probably be too short for you.  I have a 26" inseam which is usually even shorter than short.

I don't know of any clothing exchanges on OH.  I go to a monthly OH luncheon in my area where I've taken and received clothing.  I also donate to a women's shelter in the area.  My friends have been very generous with passing on clothes to me and I try to do the same.
