Remember me?
Hi Lightweights,
I have not posted in quite a while. I've had a lot going on, but I plan to get back with it. It is so encouraging and helpful to keep in touch with others in the same boat! Just to remind you of who I am, I had my RNY surgery 2/1/10 and was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. I had a bilateral mastectomy in July. I have had Stage 1 and Stage 2 reconstruction surgery (Stage 2 was a week and half ago) and am in better shape up there than before cancer. I'm just so thankful that they found the cancer early. My husband says that it was probably easier to for the mamogram to see the cancer since I had lost so much weight and my breast were so thin. Maybe, who knows? The doctor did not want me to lose weight prior to Stage 2 reconstuction, he said that you can't build tissue and lose weight at the same time; therefore I tried to hold it steady, which at this point is not hard for me to do. Now I have to get down to getting some more weight off. I'm at 157 now. I think I will be happy at 140 so I am buckling down to try and get this off.

Welcome back Linda. What an ordeal but I am so happy you are doing better. I'm sure you won't have a big problem getting the rest off. Looking forward to seeing more of you (or less of you).
