I'm Home
Hello everyone! I've been home for a few days but unable to post. I had my revision to RNY last Tues. I have to be honest, recovery has been tougher than I thought it would be. My surgery took 4hrs. I was told that I had a lot of scar tissue and because of that, and the removal of the band at the same time, I would probably take a little longer to heal. Im staying on top of my pain meds and trying to stay positive. I've managed to get all of my supplements in, but only about 40g protein and 40g water a day. I'm on full liquids. My biggest issue is that my left side is super sore. It hurts most of the time. It's really bad. They said that's where most of the work took place, so I'll just have to take it day by day. Thank you for your well wishes and I will post again when I'm able.
Welcome home, Indy. Take it slow and easy. Keep sipping!

Hi Indy. So glad you are home and starting to recover. You had a lot of surgery and will probably be sore for a while. And it is hard for all of us to get in the protein and fluid in the beginning so you probably are right on track. Just keep sipping, walking and resting. Everyone heals at different rates but getting your fluid and protein will help.

Glad to hear you're home and all went well. It will take awhile for the left side to feel better - and it sounds like yours was a bit more complicated than normal.
Just take it easy - let your body heal, take the pain meds, sip sip sip!! You're doing great!
