I'll play!

My name is Ann Marie.  I live in a very small town in CT.  I'm also married and we will celebrate 12 years marries (16 together) in June this year.  We have 2 boys (both were premature and both are special needs) that are the LIGHT of our lives!  The oldest will be 8 in Feb and the youngest will be 5 in March. I am a hedge fund controller and am very fortunate to be able to work from home.  My husband is a high school English teacher and is working on a 2nd masters and hopes to move up to teaching at the college level.

I gained most of my weight after college and during both IVF cycles to get preggers with our miracles.  My highest weight was 242 the day I had my hysterectomy in April of 2009 and surgery was October 19th of this year after only meeting the surgeon on September 1st (very quick!).  I am down to 186 on the scale this morning (but I don't update my signature until I have seen a weight for more than 3x in a row!).   I am psyched to have met everyone here and LOVE the support on this forum of the OH site.

I'm Liz aka southernlady5464 who is married to another LW here (Charles aka cbramsey5898). I am scheduled for surgery on the 24th of January. He had his surgery on the 16th of Dec. We both are having/had the DS.

We live in Eastern Tennessee, Oak Ridge actually, also known as the "Secret City" due to it's history during WWII and being part of the Manhattan Project back then. We've been married 14 years, my first, his second and he brought along two daughters for me. They are now 26 and 24 and both are married.

We have 5 cats as our furchildren. I also do web design and graphics.

My highest weight was 250 back in 2001 but right now I am right at 202 and trying to stay above a 35 BMI. Been told by my surgeon to not lose anything prior to surgery.

Hi I am Dolores and have been a lurker for over a year now.  I am a mother of two (one 24 and one 5).  I did not birth the first one but raised him with my husband.  We live in the bay area of California and I travel quite a bit for work.

I had my RNY in June 2009, I hit goal in October 2009 (130).  My highest weight was 205 and I am currently 127 (surgery weight was 169).  I had PS in April 2010 (BL/reduction and anchor TT).  I love my new shape and am thankful I could have my PS.  I no longer take diabetic meds or blood pressure meds, just my trusty vitamins!

I am trying to be good and maintain which seems to be going well so far.  I think the PS has helped with that.  It is like a girdle that keeps you aware of your stomach!!  I enjoy reading all of the LW posts almost daily.  I am more active on the Cali board.

GREAT IDEA CINDY!!!

I'm Heather!  I'm going to celebrating my 7th anniversary of my 29th birthday in March!  I've NEVER been married (if you knew the options you'd see why...lol)  I have two beautiful daughters!  Aura is 14yo and of course hates me......lol.  Halle is 3.5yo and is autistic and teaches me something new about tolerance daily.
If you haven't figured out my usernames meaning yet it is a reference to my carreer!  I am a CT Technologist and I iradiate people for a living!    I work the overnight shift so I am the late night / early morning poster.

After having Halle I switched jobs and started seeing a new PCP who decided to treat my HBP!  My BP was always considered boarderline by my old PCP and he wouldn't treat it.  With her decision to treat my HBP I was able to qualify for WLS!

I had RNY July 21, 2009!  A fun fact......Christopher J and I share a surgery date and I lured him over here with me.......LOL  I am guessing that my highest non pregnancy weight was around 256.....I was 240 the day of surgery.  I reached my first goal of 150lbs about 7 months post op and have been maintaining for the most part.  The last 10 lbs is going to require I put in some real work if I want to lose it.....not sure if I'm ready to commit to that since I am very happy where I'm at right now!  I have had no complications & need a little PS but don't think that will ever happen for me

I discovered the LW group after I had my WLS and haven't left!  This is quite possible the most supportive group of people I have ever had the honor of being a part of!  I LOVE MY LW'S AND MY RNY!
