I made it through the bowel obstruction!!

Thanks to Maria ( Italian Spice) and all of my LW friends for the prayers and lizards!  It's been a long week, but I am home and feeling great!  Except for the gas pains from surgery.  I never really had them from the RNY, but WOW, they hurt!!  GasX and the heating pad helps alot though.  I went to ER on Tues night for really bad abdominal pains. They did a Cat scan and said they thought I had an obstruction.  I went by ambulance to my surgeons hospital (Cleveland Clinic). They ran a bunch of tests and they went in on Thursday for an exploritory lap surgery.  They found an adhesion where the limbs were reconnected so the removed it.  Check all the rest of my bowels and found nothing else.  YEA!  I woke up from surgery, and I swear if I didnt have the gas pains, I would say I didnt have ANYsurgery!!  So different from the first surgery.  I came home today around noon, took a shower, no pain at all!  Thank God for your prayers, I think it is the reason I feel so good.  You guys are amazing!!!  And a special shout out to Maria,   Love you girl!!  thanks for all the support!!                                                                                                                          Joan

Bless your heart so glad you are better. I know exactly how you felt. I had a bowel obstruction just 3 days after my RNY. It nearly killed me. They thought my pain was from the RNY. Had me walk, walk, walk, waited, walked. I finally doubled over in the hall, spiked a fever, and had swelled up like a balloon. They took me to emergency surgery and found it. I was cut from breast bone to past my belly button. That was 14 months and 84 lbs. They told my husband if I had been at home I would have died before I got to the hospital. Bowel obstructions are very serious and very scary. So glad to know you are alright. To God be the GLORY! He does hear our prayers. Here is to a speedy recovery.
Nothing tastes as good as this feels!
