Warm up the Lizards, swinging requested
WOW - wasn't sure what all those words meant individually, but definitely have the idea of who serious this could have been if you hadn't had your upper GI in prep for WLS.
I hope your WLS will go as planned... and they are able to take care of the tumor completely.
Swinging critters and big hugs for you!

Also, did you know that what the VSG,verticle sleeve gastrectomy,is is a partial gastrectomy, what you will likely be having. They have done partial gastrectomies for cancer for over 100 years. It was in patients who had partial gastrectomies and also had significant weight loss that made the light bulb go off. Then they started doing partial gastrectomies,re named verticle sleeve gastrectomy for obese patients who did not have stomach cancer.
Good luck,

All,
My appt to see my WLSurgeon is tomorrow lunchtime. He's a great doctor, from all the people around the hospital I have asked, and as a person he's really kind.
I've done my research on the type of tumor they think I have, have my questions in hand, and know what I am hoping to do. I continue to hope he will be my surgeon, and at one time he was practicing "beyond the bariatric," as he happens to be in the practice where I have another wonderful doctor.
Thanks for all the swingin', praying', meditatin', and postin'. I promise to pay it forward.
Will post when I know something.

I'm so sorry for the delayed response, though not as sorry that I am that you have this new stress and concern!
I also hear your amazing gratitude for having discovered the tumor. My hope and prayer for you is just what the others have said - that it be benign, that you find a new way to accomplish restriction, that you find peace and joy in all this very very soon.
Bless you!
