short people clothes

I am 5"1 and I started buying my jeans at Target they have short, regular, and tall.  They are the best jeans I have ever bought.

The problem with the ones from target though, is that inch that you are taller LOL. I am 4'11" and they are WAY too long for me too. JC Penny was not bad, the levis from wal mart and kmart are great. I have found that the smaller you go in pounds, the shorter the jeans. For some reason the companies thing if you are a 14 up you are TALL even if they say short on the tag UGH!!!
My daughter swears by PAC SUN they have short that fit well also.

Being a shorty, I also have the same problem. I found some nice pants for work at Macys in the Petite section, labeled "short."  Unfortunately, they only came in black and grey, but I did not have to shorten them, since my shoes have 2 inch heels. At least I have a couple of nice pants for work.

I agree with capri or crop pants. I found them to be just right, no hemming required. Petite ankle pants may also work. Someone at work told me to look at the Gap, but they tend to be pricey.

I will check out the jeans at K-Mart.

Check out your local Goodwill for Gap jeans in the "ankle" length.  I regularly find them there (when I'm looking for "regular" length!).

Can't beat the price - about $5 per pair.
