x-post from FB Chat group....."LW Reunion"

We have been having a discussion in the chat group about a possible LW Reunion in the future!  I figured I better carry the conversation over here to the LW board since this is where the majority of the LW's are!  There has been mention of Vegas by several, one person mentioned taking a poll to see where everyone is capable of traveling to so we can include as many folks as possible! 
When would this happen??  No difinitive plan at this point.  I was thinking end of summer or Next winter to allow people a little time to save up for a trip.....

Do you guys have any suggestions as to how we can plan this in order to allow as many LW's to attend??

My personal opinion is Vegas for the destination.  It tends to be one of the less expensive places to travel to in the country no matter where you come from.  Not to mention the cheap meals too!....LOL  who wants to pay $20 for a meal you can barely eat when you can pay 99C for a buffet and eat 1/4 cup of food and feel good about spending as much as you did.......LOL  BUT that is just MO....

It's looking more and more like Sin City is a well liked destination........Someone did mention possibly being able to set up a group cruise rate too!.........however, this is something that will take a great deal more planning and possibly a larger finacial burden......I will definitely look into it and see if we can come up with something under $1000 if not this time around next time!!!

I'll chime in (can you tell I REALLY need to get away! LOL).

I am pretty flexible!  Summer is best (or end of summer as you mentioned) as my husband is a teacher so I am more flexible to travel so he can stay home with the kids, but I would make it work wherever/whenever. 

Vegas would be fun!!!

I'm game.  Let me know if you need me to do anything whenever there are more firm plans.  Plus no matter where we go, if you ask the hotel for a group rate, even less, etc...

Sounds like so much fun!!! It would have to be on a school break or a weekend thing becuase of my school schedule. I am taking summer classes, but I still have some time off at the end of summer.

When is your break at the end of summer shannon?

I know the first 2 weeks of August for sure. They haven't posted the start date for fall classes yet.

I will make an attempt, with the kids and deployment looming in real soon it may be difficult, but where there is a will there is a way LOL

Vegas sounds awesome!!  I have never been and I would definitely try to swing it. 

This would be just what the doctor ordered!  I'm flexible with dates and location. Having a trip like this planned would be such a motivator to get to goal!  As far as locations, I have never been to Vegas, but I hear that it is one of the cheaper places to fly to and once you're there, lodging and eats are supposedly really cheap.  When money is tight I have been able to raise extra cash by holding garage sales and by selling stuff I no longer need on ebay.  I sock away the money so that it doesn't get spent on groceries or bills.
