I had been looking at a pair of kick a** boots for the last 3 months (since 1 week postop).  They were a tiny bit tight in the calves and cost more than I wanted to spend.  On 12/29, I went to the mall across town (where I originally tried them on) to return some other items and lo and behold, the store was having 40% off on boots!! They still had my size and one of my bosses had sent us an unexpected bonus check for exactly the amount of the boots (minus tax).  I immediately bought them and am a very happy camper!  (They are even a little loose now unless I wear thick socks).  I will post a picture when I am  well enough to get dressed up again and have one made.

I LOVE sales! Last winter when boots were really popular, I looked and looked for some. I finally ended up with a really short pair, becuase all of the taller ones were too small for my calves (or my calves were too big for the boots). This year I have bought boots like a crazy woman! I hope they are still in style next year!

I bought some this winter and wear them almost every day.  I had not worn boots since I was in my early 20's!!

It is amazing what we can do now.

Congratulations on finding the pair of boots that you like and having them fit.!!!! I was looking for boots a few weeks ago, but my calves are still too large, even with the 80 lb weight loss. Oh well.
