People Notice

Last night I had a meeting with a new Home Health agency within the bleeding disorders network and was very happy with the results, not only did I get to meet some new families and get to share experiences but several who I had not seen in about a year commented on my weight loss!!! It really felt so nice to have them make nice comments about it.

The best part of the meeting, I may have 2 more families ready to send their kids to camp this year!!!  This is a major YAY for me, we need the new kids in order to keep the camp funding and the camp going, WOOHOO!!! ( no I am not employed by them but working hard to get a job in this field)

I also rejoined the YMCA yesterday!!!! now I can work on strength training and releasing some stress.. all in all it was an amazing day for me.
Anyone else have a great day yesterday???

My daughter was home for the first time in a few years.  We had seen her other places but she hadn't been home.  We spent the whole day shopping and had a blast.  She had been pleased with my weight loss initially but yesterday really opened up with all her questions and we had a great discussion about it. 

Price, I know how much you were looking forward to having your daughter visit.  Sounds like you are having a really special time together.  I'm so happy for you. I hope today is just as much fun. :)

that is wonderful!!! I know she was probably happy to be home for a little while and I know you were happy to open up about your WLS! This really is wonderful!

Congratulations!!!

I LOVE seeing people I haven't seen in a long time. It feels so good to see jaws drop. On Black Friday I saw my old boss (who had RNY a few years ago and has re-gained tons of her weight because she eats totally crappy and doesn't exercise). She told me not to have the sleeve because it wouldn't work, etc. I went right up and said "Hi" and I could tell she didn't know who I was. Then there was the lightbulb above her head and her eyes got really big. Great wow moment.

My days have all been good lately. I'm moving along with school and I have been kicking up the strength training big time.

Congrats on having your hard work noticed!  I also saw two people yesterday who hadn't seen me since before surgery and both commented on my weight loss.  Since it seems slow sometimes (not that I"m complaining) it's great to know that it is visible. Yeah to us!

It really is nice to have it noticed. I dont really want to call attention to myself but sometimes you cant help it LOL!
