Day 4 5DPT.......REAL FOOD!
For me yesterday was the LONGEST DAY ON EARTH! I was up for 36 hours so I was on "Day 3" for much longer than I wanted to be. It was my first day back to work after a week off and I was busy! I had brought egg salad, 1 Tuna patty, and some raspberry cheescake made from greek yogurt and my giant protein water! I felt hungry alot of the night but was unable to eat because I was so busy. Thankfully I had my protein water to help keep the REAL cravings away!
One observation I've had is this..........I can't believe how long 30 minutes is! I didn't even realize that I had stopped waiting 30 minutes after eating to drink! I am noticing I am the type of person who won't drink anything for 2 hours and then I'm thursty AND hungry.......so what do you chose food or beverage???..........I generally chose food.......BUT the thirst doesn't go away.......so I drink.....and then I'm hungry again in 2 hours.........
SOOOO.......I guess I need to watch that clock so I can stay satisfied longer! AND I need to find my timer again so I can make sure I drink my water! I"ve still got the same bottle of protein water from last night .......LOL
Today I moved onto FIRM protein! Y:UMMY!!!! I cooked up some left over manicotti stuffing that I had in the freezer and turned it into little "meatballs" Again I'm not sure that is what she meant by ground meat.......BUT it has ground turkey and pork as well as egg and ricotta so it is actually pretty darn good for me..........minus the pork.....! I've doubled my water intake from yesterdays also........I intended on doing Cajun Shrimp today but accidentally bought precooked shrimp....
I will let you know later how the rest of the day went......

I am like you that I can easily to forget to eat AND drink for HOURS!! Then when I remember I'm in a pickle...lol
Long days are difficult to adjust food and drinks too...For some reason the morning is so much slower than the afternoon for me. But then it's probably because I'm here at work at 6am (wake up at 4am) and usually take my lunch by normal time noonish...sooooo....yah, I'm a bad girl.
I wonder how everyone else is doing on their decarb...

Thank you sooo much for your support Dirty! I'm beginning to think I'm alone on my journey through the 5DPT.......LOL Jody fell off after day1 and I wonder if anyone else actually started!
BTW.....the meat I've been eating is the leftovers from the Baked Manicotti I made when you did your PT........LOL
I'm off to bed now.....gotta get up early to make me some "cordon Bleu" stuffed chicken breasts! AND I need to pack up my workout stuff so I can get my butt in gear with the execising thing! Did you read my post to your fitness challenge from yesterday??........I must say it's pretty funny and I DO crack myself up sometimes.......HEHE!

Hey Heather,
I am on day three and woke up weak and with a severe migaine headache which started last night. I dont know whether it is carb sugar and caffiene with drawl or what...that is what I am assuming....ugh so i ate a 2 inch piece of banana cuz I didnt have the suggested orange or melon on hand, Ate 1 cp of cottage cheese and i feel a little better. had a cup of coffe w splenda and non dairy dry creamer...My head still hurts buts im moving on!!! I need to start excercising! The weight has wrecked my knees and back so I'm not sure where to start....I hope you have a much better day and that manacotti filling sounds great!!! Have a blessed day!!and keep up the great work!!
