My name is Nikki. I have been a member of this site for a little while and I never knew this light weight forum exsisted. I have not had my surgery yet I am hoping for early March. I am currently at 232 pds I am 5'2" I have been going back and forth between 230-232 pds. I dont think my surgeon requires me to lose weight before surgery. All though I am sure it wouldn't hurt. I am wondering if there is anyone close to me. I am from New Bedford, Ma. I have completed most of my pre op requirements. I have 1 more Surgeon appt, Ekg, ultrasound, and blood work. Also my insurance req. that I take a 2hr 4 week class that starts the first of every month that I have to pay $500 for. Sooo I am working on that. I am really excited and cant wait already...

Welcome!  Good luck with the rest of your pre-op journey--- It's a hassle but a necessary evil and I found (after the fact) that it was a very helpful part of my total WLS journey.   March will be here before you know it!

Glad you are getting ready for your surgery. I had to do lots of classes, consults, lab work, etc, etc. But now I am glad I had to do so much. It gives you knowledge and makes you think about what you are getting into. It has been very positive. Welcome to the board!!

We are from all over the country, so that makes it fun. To know how universal most of our questions are.
