Tomorrow is my revision
Hello LWs. Well, tomorrow is my revision day...OMG. It almost didnt happen at the last minute because of insurance paperwork. Yeah, the insurance had no idea that another dept had sent my approval letter and tried to act as if I never submitted any paperwork. Well, thank God I saved all of my copies and was about to fax everything over to the insurance coordinator. The surgeons office told me to go ahead with things as planned. I've been very busy today: groceries, packing (well not really), grooming, and wait for it...MagCitrate!!! Yes, I decided on my own to do it because I was having some bathroom issues already caused by my iron supplement and didnt want to add the extra issues involved with surgery on top of it. The MagCitrate is disgusting, but it does work and if I had to do it again, I would. I havent done all the things around my house that I would have liked, but oh well, I'm not going to stress. I really hope all goes well with my surgery. It would truly suck to have complications and have to stay longer in the hospital. I know that this is a big risk, but I want to just go for it and put my faith and trust in God. He is my keeper. Well, thank you to everyone that has been super supportive and I will post again when Im able.
Blessings to you, Indy!
Remind me, what revision are you having?
Also, you should be able to get an iron supplement that won't upset your stomach. I found (and love!) Corvite, though it's quite expensive. A lot of folks have had great success with VitaLady's Tender Iron, which I'd recommend, too.
Do you have an angel to keep us posted on your recovery?
Can't wait to hear good news from you after the surgery.
Again, bless you!

Wow - time does fly huh? Congratulations - it sounds like you're prepared and ready to go!
You'll do fine and have a great, uncomplicated surgery - I promise - ;)
Vitalady also carries an iron called Proferrin. Its a bit more robust and isn't as picky about being mixed with other vits so much (even tho I make every effort to not mix them). It also doesn't bind me up like other irons do. Like Rosa said - tender iron works well too (from Vitalady).
Good luck and let us know how you are doing!
