Day 2 5DPT....we CAN do this!
So I'm starting day two of the 5DPT. I finished out yesterday with a bang and had some of my variation of the Low-carb pumpkin sausage soup. It is sooo yummy I will probably eat that all day today and some sf jello. If I get bored with it I will probably make some more of that yummy mint mochachinno "ice cream" I made last night for supper!
I found that I am not as hungry as I thought I'd be. I am not a big water drinker and new that getting in 64 oz of water was going to be difficult for me. I forget to drink for the most part. I did pretty well yesterday. I was one glass short for the day.
So my goal for today is to drink ALL 64oz of water!

I'm planning on an all-liquid type of day. I've had about 2 pieces of bacon so far, but don't think that will totally mess me up.
I've already had 2 protein drinks. I know I'm severely low with my water intake and need to start on that. I drank 3 glasses of water last night and didn't even have to pee - what's that tell you?
When I've had to prepare for surgery (for my TT last year) I had to do only liquids for 1 1/2 days prior and was surprised how easy it was. BUT - I think it has a LOT to do with your mindset too.
We're off to a good start, eh?

I started my day yesterday with a chocolate covered pretzel stick so I think your couple of pieces of bacon wont' hurt you! LOL I'm off to grab a glass of water and clean up my late night cooking mess and the rest of this mess around my house! I've been on vacation from EVERYTHING this week.....including cleaning!.......LOL
I had a cup of soup and I'm pretty full right now....I may need to eat a 1/2 cup every couple hours instead!

I'll be right behind you starting tomorrow! You will pave the way and motivate me. The soup sounds delicious. Does it have much protein? Where can I find the recipe? I wonder if there is a way to post our favorite recipes either here on OH or on the FB group site. I could set it up if you know it's possible. Unless there is no interest.

mythinme posted a link to her blog.......I was thinking about starting some documents with different recipes.....based on meal type......breakfast, lunch, supper.......on the FB group.......I also created a "snack" document for quick and easy snacks/early post op meals....

IT IS! And it is all things I intend to continue eating! SO......IT'S NOT A DIET........LOL You should try the soup........I'm going to add more sausage and black beans to it to make it meatier and protein packed next time!
