Is this Dumping??
I have noticed that carbs have started to creep back into my diet. I have also noticed that I am not feeling as good as I was before. So over the last few days I have been trying to eliminate the "crap" carbs from my diet. Today I was sitting there (after completing my 1 hour workout) and decided to have some popcorn. Well...about 20 minutes later I started feeling terrible, just a few cramps ( not like the time I had too much sugar) and felt just awful, very tired. I drank a bunch of water and was convinced I was going to throw up, I fell asleep and after about 2 hours I started to feel better. Was this another kind of dumping?? Or something else? I have noticed the nauseous feeling after eating crackers, but never this bad. Any ideas, I know what to do....I will not eat the popcorn again, there are much better alternatives.
Awe Sarah, I am so sorry...I think you did dump...I dump like that too. I don't get the rapid heart rate but I do get the horrible cramps like I want to explode from inside out and then when it is all done "throwing a fit" I sleep....
That is exactly what happened to me last night after i ate some elk sausage. As soon as it hit the pouch...it was on. I had to go lay down. I fell asleep shortly before midnight...ugh, 2010 went out like a bang...lol
Hang in there and yes, I would lay off the crap carbs. It really is not worth it and you are relatively new postop...soooooo....just stick with basics.

Carbs metabolize into sugar in our bodies... and it can affect each of us differently....
I know carbs (simple) can mess with me big time- and its a good incentive to stay away from them.
Sugar now... well... seems I can tolerate it much better now - darn it!!
