I really TRIED to find an answer to this but have not found one yet.  Has anyone had soft, yellow stools?  I've had this more than not since my surgery.  I am not having any pain except some cramping at times when I go.  My stomach gets a little queasy at times, but has since surgery.  I have not found a dietary connection, but who knows?
I would really appreciate some input.
Thanks and Happy New Year!

I can not give you an answer to this but want you to know you are not alone in this. Mine has been soft yellow from the beginning and seldome it will change color but not for long. I am thinking it has to do with the amount of yogurt and protein I eat but really dont know. Good Luck in your quest.

Breast fed babies have yellow poop.  Maybe related to the amount of milk, whey, etc that we eat in the beginning related to any other kinds of food????  Still happens to me occasionally.

Have you had upper abdominal pain with your nausea? If your liver or gall bladder are acting up that can cause pale or yellow stools. If you are not in a lot of pain there more than likely is nothing to worry about, but if you are you may want to call the on call nurse and just check in to see if they want you to go in and get your liver and gall bladder enzymes checked out. Babies get yellow poop because their bodies are still adjusting to handle the bile and biliruben (sp?) outside of their mothers bodies and don't have the proper levels quite nailed down yet. It's not dangerous unless it is way out of wack for quite some time.

I am not having any pain aside from some cramping with lose stool.  Hearing that quite a few people are experiencing the same thing makes me lean towards malabsorption.  And I agree, I'm happy to be pooping at all!

I am also experiencing pale colored stools and am having no problems going to the bathroom almost every day. I think it has to do with malabsorbtion but not positive. I've also noticed I am able to go in a fairly large quantity in comparison to what I ingest. It baffles me really. Would love for someone to explain this to me.
