OT breast biopsy
Just seeing this now Lori. I am totally swinging the critters for you at this point! I did have to do something very minor as I had the follow up mamogram (this was at age 34 after we found lumps and did the first mamogram) and then some other ultrasound thing but turned out to be nothing and didn't require the biopsy.
I think it is great that there is no family history so that is in your favor and if the dr was worried, they usually won't give you any odds/percentages, so that is really good too.
Hang in there and please let us know how this is going!! You are in my thoughts!!!

Lori, I feel your anxieties as I am going through the same thing right now. I went for my mammogram on Tuesday of last week. They called me on Wednesday and said I needed to come back in because the radiologist had seen something of concern on the right breast.
I went the next day and they had ordered bilateral shots. The tech took several more xrays and took them to be read--then returned and needed some more. She returned again saying that they could not tell me anything but the problem centered around micrcalcifications and they would have to get my last mammogram in order to compare. If there have been changes I will also have to get a biopsy. Needless to say, I am totally freaked out!
I have been on the internet all weekend trying to get a handle on this. PM me for more information.......and yes, I had the same thought about getting some help for the "tube socks" at the expense of the insurance company.
The one interesting thing that occurred is that while I was waiting to be called back, my surgeon's partner (a femaly dr) came through looking for family members of a patient. I later found out that she was there to perform a biopsy (I was at the breast center of the hospital). At least if I need one I won't have to deal with a surgeon that I don't know. I trust these two surgeons with my life.
Hope things work out well for you.

Hi Lori,
I've not posted on the board in a while. I had my RNY on 2/1/10 and found out that I had breast cancer on 6/29/10. I had a bilateral mastectomy on 7/6/10. I had invasive cancer on the right side and pre-malignacy on the left. Thankfully it was caught early and I did not have to have radiation nor chemo. Just like you said the bright side was to get the new BEEWBIES! I have had Stage 1 and Stage 2 reconsturction. I just had my Stage 2 surgery on 12/30/10. I needed them because they were the first to go with my weight loss. Since it has been a while since you posted this, you may have already had your biopsy. I'll be thinking about you and hope to hear from you soon. I'm going to try to be more regular on the board again. I've just had so much going on that I've not been posting lately.
