How long to reach goal w/ VSG
I lost 85 pounds in 8 months. I could have lost it faster if I had been stricter with my calories and carbs. I have seen many lightweights lose all their weight in 4-6 months by following the rules. A friend of mine just made goal this week at 6 months out. She lost 96 pounds. Wishing you ALL the best!! The sleeve rocks!!!

hey Jenn,
1st thing is do not compare yourself to anyone. everyone loses at different rates. some do not follow the rules, and are very successful and lose quickly . some follow the rules with diet and exercise and lose slowly. it all has to do with ur body and when it wants to give it up
good luck to u

I was intentionally not completely compliant as I wanted a lifestyle change not a diet, it looks like it took me just over 8 mos...

I am only 1.8 lbs from my personal goal.
I started at 267 (22/20s) and was to a goal size in 7 months (6/8) I do not say a goal weight, because that was kind of random, I have been the same size for a year, and my weight fluctuation is about 10 pounds down from there, and 5 pounds bounce around depending on factors (period, did I dive into home made caramel, et cetera!) .
I *was* low carb, seriously compliant until I got to goal. I had half finished way too many things to flake out on this. I figured I just needed to get my ass to goal, so I did not get distracted or weary and then change my goal because of my weariness (because, I had seen it happen a lot!) and I would figure out how to do maintenance when I got there. What I learned was, how I lost (lower carb) was how my body prefered to function.
So, again, many pathways to the goal - the learning about yourself in the process, to me, has been the biggest and best part, and will help you during the maintenance part!!
Congrats on your date girlie!!
