havent been on here in awhile!

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd check in. I've been catching up on reading posts and messages. Sorry I've been away so long. I feel bad! 

I am now 8 mos out and met my weight loss goal of 100 lbs. I am very happy with everything and I would do it all over again. I certainly feel like RNY was a miracle surgery for me, it changed my life for the better, I'm so thankful! I haven't had any real complications and nothing but success.
I've been in maintenance for the last 3 mos and I have been stable fluctuating 1-2 lbs but nothing more or less. I don't want to lose any more and my doc seems to think that I will just because it's been less than a year ( I disagree!). I am starting to excercise more and RUN! We will see how that goes! With osteoarthritis and the extra 100 lbs on top of that running was NEVER a possibility for me before surgery, now I think I can do it. I'm starting with a slow easy jog and will see where I go from there. My joint pain has improved greatly. Still having some struggles with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis but I will conquer those ! I know I will!

Congrats on all your success! I totally get what you are saying about the exercise and fibro..my fibro is doing better and my back/joint issues are really improving! Very exciting!

That is so great that you feel well enough to start running...that IS a miracle!! I say the same thing...this surgery has been a miracle for me. I am only a month out but I feel like it was made for my situation and I KNOW I will be a success with it.

Glad to meet you and happy you are back on the Board!!! Here's to conquering ALL our health issues in 2011!

That's amazing!  Just to clarify:  did you make it to your goal of 150 in 5 months?  That's stunning!  How tall are you?  (Just curious).

Congratulations on making goal!!!  I wouldn't think you would lose too much more if you did.  If you've been stable for 3 months, it might only be that 1-2 lbs here and there!  I hit goal in 7 months.  Stayed stable for a few months, then my weight redistributed!  I gained some back (bounce back), but I'd say it was in all the "right" places.  My clothing size hasn't changed though, except maybe my shirts (I tend to favor a medium in most instead of a small).

Good to see you posting again!  They are very forgiving around here, I'm back after being gone for quite awhile!  They've welcomed me back with open arms!!
