OT - stressed to the max
Our 17 yr old daughter informed us last night that she may be pregnant. We are shocked, disappointed, worried, embarrassed, & stressed beyond belief. I took her for bloodwork earlier this evening. Hoping to hear the results late tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning. Please swing some lizzards, say some prayers, send some positive vibes our way. I feel like our world has come crashing down on us. Cindy
Swinging lizards for you guys. ((hugs)) I know you love her above all else.

Cindy,
I'll be thinking about your family. Has she taken a home pregnancy test?
I have two precious granddaughters. One was a surprise like this, but she is loved so much by all of us. Her parents got married. They were older than 17 and probably would have gotten married anyway.
Hang in there. I hope everything works out for the best.

Oh Cindy...My prayers with you and your family. Our children have such an impact over our lives don't they? All I can say is love on her. She will need your experienced guidance and wisdom and love. Just go up and give her a big hug!!!
As you know I can relate to the shock, disappointment, worried, embarrassed, and stress beyond belief. My advice is to let go what you cannot control. We are here for you!! PM me if you need to and I can share more on DS1s journey as you know some details...it hasn't completely subsided but I think DH and I have learned a lot of quick lessons to deal...
LOVE you buddy!!! Hang in there!!

Wow Cindy! I want you to know that a 17 year old coming to you with a scare is HUGE.....she must really trust you! Now if she IS in fact pregnant she can lean on you and your hubby for support and guidance. If she is NOT then you have a door open to help her make the right choices for birth control and what not. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this and have faith that it will all work itself out....somehow these things always seem too......As someone else asked did she do a home pregnancy test? Those tests ARE accurate! The use the same thing at the doctors office.....so if a home test was positive......then she is most likely pregnant and a blood test will just verify how far along she is based on hormone levels....I'll swing critters for ya! Good luck and please support your daughter through this....she came to you because she needs you!.......without judgement.....we all make poor choices in life......it's how we handle the consequences that makes us who we are...this will be an important turning point in your and her relationship depending on how you cope with it....
