I'm off today for my New Years Day since it is Saturday, we get to take another day off during the week and since Friday is payday I can't be off that day. I had my blood drawn to check my liver enzymes again and then went and got my flu shot. I'm fixing to make a pot of chili to eat on the rest of the week. We got our collards and peas to cook for this weekend.

I'm glad they now know what is wrong with him and can now treat it. DGD#1 has alot of problems with colds/allergies. Now they are saying she has a low immune system and can give her a shot when she is two to help build it up. She had bronchitis last week and a stomach virus Christmas Day. It is hard when they get sick and you can't help them.

My menu has been a focus to increase protein at meal times...drinking fluids is going great btw...although I do have to be cautious on the amount I add of the little packets of flavor...each packet according to the instructions says 1 pkt for 16oz water...I have to double the water or else I get mini dump headaches...crazy huh.

recipe for lunch: 1/2 cup greek yogurt (11.5 g & 65 cal)
1 scoop protein powder (24g & 114 cal)

blend very well all ingredients together and add splenda to taste.
S - laughing cow light wedge & 17 slices turkey pepperoni & 3 crackers (14g & 175 cal)
D - 3 oz very lean ground beef (93/7) slider burgers with veggies. (21g & 140 cal)
