My DGS is in the car on his way home!!  He has to have breathing treatments and be on several medications every day but my DD says he is feeling better than he has for awhile.  I can't wait to get off of work to cuddle him (if he'll let me..LOL).

Writing everything down has helped me so much!!! I would really like to see some more posters.  Seeing what is working for others helps the rest of us put some variety into our meals.

I think it's crazy how we have so much restriction on some days and other days we have to control ourselves from over eating.  I am really tight in the morning when I try to take my pills.

I haven't had an omelet for awhile...sounds good!

Roz, I'm so glad he is feeling better and is going home!!  Did y'all know he had asthma or was this new?  {{{{Gentle HUGS}}}} to him.

I'm off today for my New Years Day since it is Saturday, we get to take another day off during the week and since Friday is payday I can't be off that day.  I had my blood drawn to check my liver enzymes again and then went and got my flu shot.  I'm fixing to make a pot of chili to eat on the rest of the week.  We got our collards and peas to cook for this weekend.

B:  Protein Decaf Coffee - I got a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas and love it!!

His doctor kept treating him for Croup but the Drs. at Children's say he doesn't have croup that it is definitely asthma.  They go to his Dr. tomorrow. 

My DD's morning sickness started kicking in yesterday too.  It's been a bad week for her.

Bless her heart.  I hope she feels better now that they are at home.  I remember were always told to keep saltine crackers beside our bed and eat one right before you get up in the morning and it would help with the morning sickness.  Probably just an old tale!!  I never had morning sickness - I have always been able to eat pretty much anything - anytime!!  That's been my problem....

I'm glad they now know what is wrong with him and can now treat it.  DGD#1 has alot of problems with colds/allergies.  Now they are saying she has a low immune system and can give her a shot when she is two to help build it up.  She had bronchitis last week and a stomach virus Christmas Day.  It is hard when they get sick and you can't help them.

Hi Roz my 20 year old son has had asthma since he was born.It's a terrible feeling when your child can't breath and there's nothing you can do.

Great news Roz...cuddle therapy is great!!! for both of you...

My menu has been a focus to increase protein at meal times...drinking fluids is going great btw...although I do have to be cautious on the amount I add of the little packets of flavor...each packet according to the instructions says 1 pkt for 16oz water...I have to double the water or else I get mini dump headaches...crazy huh.

B - egg white w/bacon omelet (8g & 130 cal)
L - pumpkin greek yogurt protein pudding (35g & 199 cal)

recipe for lunch: 1/2 cup greek yogurt (11.5 g & 65 cal)
1 scoop protein powder (24g & 114 cal)
1/4 cup canned pumpkin (1g & 40 cal)

blend very well all ingredients together and add splenda to taste.

S - laughing cow light wedge & 17 slices turkey pepperoni & 3 crackers (14g & 175 cal)
D - 3 oz very lean ground beef (93/7) slider burgers with veggies. (21g & 140 cal)
S - protein drink (24g & 114 cal)

Protein: 103g
Calories: 758
