Cold but excited! The window guys are here. They are putting in a back door where there wasn't one but I've always wanted one. They are replacing our worst windows this time and maybe when we get this paid off we can try to do the res****ching them tear out and redo has gotten me thinking about a lot of things. Over the past year we have accomplished alot. I have always wanted to be free from obesity. Free from the thing that had me in a cacoon and I couldn't find my way out. Today I am free. I am free of comorbids too. I am so thankful for the tool I have been given to change my life and my perspective on it. Today we are changing a window into a door. A year ago, I changed a door into a window so to speak. (Big stomach into a little one.)  I can remember praying years ago for the Lord to give my husband a career he would love as much as I love teaching. Something he could feel successful at and fufilled. This morning he came to me and said he looked at his last paycheck for the year and he has cleared more money than he has ever made in his life. I told him I was so proud. I said but the biggest thing is you are happy. He said yes I am. My rny has changed alot of things in me and in us but the greatest thing it has given me is a window of hope and a reason for change.
Nothing tastes as good as this feels!

Congratulations! You've done more than a fair amount of this on your own and I'm proud of you too.

Congratulations Danielle! Your year hasn't been without its challenges too, but you are such a positive person that you're able to persevere through those and see all the good things your WLS has given you.

I love having you here - I do hope you'll stay around for a long time to come!

Danielle, this update brings a tear to my eyes.

What a beautiful thing to pray for, and what a gift you have in seeing your prayers answered.

I love this imagery - it must be so powerful to see it yourself!

Peace to you, sister.

Sounds like you can ring out the old year with pride and accomplishment.  There was so much positive in that post but I know you have had some downs also.  May the new year bring you more ups and not as many downs.  Happy New Year.
