you are lucky to have your children and their various steps, ins, grands, etc. somewhat closeby geographically. I don't think I'm going to be so lucky in that regard. I hope and pray that my kids marry reasonable people with parents who understand the concept of alternating or sharing!

Aw..... sounds like you are a big softy! How many kids do you have? You are so lucky to have them closeby! Mine have already left to visit with their future in-laws and, in my daughter's case, to go see her team play in the Rose Bowl in CA. It's not easy to see them go.
