probably stupid question.....foam??
SO this probably will sounds stupid but I am wondering--
When I make my morning protein/breakfast drink I end up with a lot of foam on top....I do not like the foam so I have been scooping it off- but I am wondering if I am removing protein in that foam?
Today I found if I let it "settle" for a few hours it all goes away and then I can drink it without the foam......
so does anyone know if I am doing bad by scooping off that foam??
thanks-
ps- told ya it was gonna sound stupid....LOL

Agree with Ladytazz. Blender bottle is the way to go.

Since I've been drining everything hot, I just mix a small amount of warm water and the protein with a spoon, then mix it in my coffee or tea. I've been suprised how well it mixes with no nothing.

I don't like foam either so I gave my Bullet Mixer away and switched to the shaker like mentioned above. It's a lot more convienant too because with a little conatainer of protein I can ge****er and ice just about anywhere.
There are conflicts on whether the Protein breaks down if it sits to long so to be safe I drink mine right away. Some say it does, some not, and others say it the salva that breaks it down if you keep taking sips.

I guess I need work on mixing it up in the shaker.....I have one- just never seem to get it all mixed up......I made it last night and poured it into my shaker and let it sit in the fridge and then only had to shake a lil today and it worked out great-- so I guess I will just go that route.....
thanks for the replies and Merry Christmas......

I use the MB and it gets all foamy too. I usually spoon off the foam because I feel it contains minimal protein since it's mostly air. If you're that concerned, you can scoop it off into another cup and once the foam settles into liquid, you can drink it, but you'll notice it's hardly much.
No question is too stupid. :)

I had in my mind that I would use the blender to make all kinds of shakes after surgery, but all of the protein powders that I have tried in the blender turn out foamy. I can't stand the foam. Some of the shakes even "fluff up" in the blender. I now only use the blender bottle for my shakes and they turn out great.
I don't think you are scooping protein off the top when you take the foam off - - - if so, it would be a minute amount. I don't like to let my shakes sit around - - - even in the fridge.....I drink them right after mixing.
