Day 5 of the 5DPT - Decarbed and ready for tomorrow....how are you doing?
Well, Made it to day 5 of 5 DPT and really, all that today is is to be 100% on plan. Was the 5 DPT successful? Depends on your needs. I don't feel so fluffy and icky any more. I feel more restriction...oh boy do I...lol and most of all I am back in sync with my beautiful tool. If the scale decides to move along with that...then I am ok with it too.
The scale says I am 131.8 this morning. I think I like it and will claim that this morning. :) That puts me .6 over my ever lowest back in November. Not too shabby eh.
I modified my plan a wee bit and stayed on liquids 3 days and soft proteins yesterday. I love this plan and now that I understand it more and how it works...I get it and will definitely use is if need to in the future. DH and I compared it to an 'oil change'....lol he's so darned cute!!
Merry Christmas eve!!! Tomorrow is going to be a hearty dinner of prime rib, potatoes mashed with parsnips and garlic, green beans with bacon and balsamic dressing, and rolls. I feel like I can tackle the making and eating of dinner just fine.
Have a great day today and enjoy your holiday.
Remember, you are in total control. Mwah!! HUGS!!!

Diana,
You are doing fabulous! Woo hoo. Way to go. I'm only 16 months out so I haven't done a pouch test yet. I'm still losing - THANK GOD. I am so freaked out about possible weight gain.
My original goal was 145 pounds so I would be a normal BMI. Now I weigh 120 and wouldn't mind getting down to 115 to allow for weight gain as I get farther out.
You dinner tomorrow sounds scrumptious! Wish I could join you! LOL
Have a very Merry Christmas and rejoice in all of your achievements!

The only thing that helps me (I think anyway) is that I stop eating the second I start to feel satisfied. I eat about six times a day usually. Most of the meals are 100 - 200 calories with as much as 300 calories from time to time.
If I haven't had a chance to eat much in a certain day, I will eat a 350 calorie meal. If I eat more than that, I get a sick feeling in my stomach.
I also eat fruits and vegetables because they really fill me up. One of my favorite meals is a salad with romaine lettuce, red pepper, cucumber, and grilled chicken breast.
I always keep those prepackaged, precooked grilled chicken strips in the fridge. For a quick meal whenever I am in a pinch, I will eat 1 1/2 ounces of that and then have a yogurt. That gives me a protein packed meal that also satisfies my sweet tooth.
Oh, and my doctor told me to get a minimum of 1200 calories per day to keep my metabolism strong!
Best wishes to you!
