Day 4 of 5 DPT - How goes it?? Decarbed yet?
Hey there LW's, How are we doing this lovely Christmas eve eve?
I made it through yesterday just fine as well...lol Although I did a hybrid of protein and liquids. Stayed on the soup plan for lunch. Had a red bean and andouille sausage soup @ Mimi's and it was very yummy. I chewed up the meat like crazy and although a slider, I was full quite quickly. Funny thing too is that it was either that or corn chowder. Didn't want to dump on all that creamy stuff so picked the red bean. The whole purpose of this is to decarb and get to basics, right? Well, the soups are served with....wait for it....BREAD!!! So, my DS2 and DH ate the bread...lol. I though you gotta be kidding me...lol
I did great by the way..lol. For dinner I had a cup of chili...again kinda slider but still got very full and had no crackers. I resisted with ease a few very crunchy fries that my fam knows I can tolerate...so I must be darned close to fully decarbed by now.
So today?? I think I will be sticking with regular proteins but chew very well. Regular Day 4 of plan.
The scale for me is @ 132.4....down from 136.8. My lowest weight ever in my journey has been 131.2. I am not focused so much on the weight, although I am but not...if that makes sense...my jeans fit great yesterday and I don't feel so "fluffy" and icky as before and I can strongly resist the naughties again...so I guess a success so far, right?

Keep up the great job everyone!! Getting back to basics and having total control through the holidays is a huge accomplishment! You all should be very proud of yourselves...whoot!!

I am doing amazing. The scale has finally moved, it was fluctuating from 162-160 and today the Wii fit says I am 157.5!!!
WAHOO! Means the limited carbs are doing me some good.
For dinner tonight I am having some Ham and lentil soup! Extra souper duper protein.
For some reason I am actually feeling hunger now and I do not like it one bit, I think that is why I have been feeling the munchies.
Getting back to basics has really freed me of my munchies and has allowed me to feel full again!
I have no Holiday goal because I fluctuate so bad but if and when I hit 150, I will definately be in onderland!!!

One thing I learned from other posts is that i thought I was feeling hunger but it was irritation on pouch by tummy juices. I don't know if you remember my munch attacks or not but I called the surgeon and went back on Omeprazole and the "hunger feelings" went away....just something to help you out. I mean it could be true hunger but mine wasn't.
Getting back to basics is awesome. I had 2 egg whites scrambled with 1/4 cup cottage cheese and i felt like i ate a whole buffet of food....lol
Keep up the awesome decarbing!!! It amazes me that we can become so comfortable and forget how powerful our tool really is.
And we are so in control over the holidays....whoot!!!

I do remember your munch attacks. Maybe I need to try to go back to my prevacid and see what happens. Doc said I was fine not taking it but I think an experiment may be on order. I still have some and a compltet script for it.

An experiment may prove beneficial for sure!! If nothing else you'll know what's what.

Hey, just checking in really quickly. I did just "ok" today. We ended up having appointments all afternoon and I got too hungry. We ate some chinese -- I had some chicken, veggies, and a bit of rice. Dang it! Mostly had protein today though -- cottage cheese, 2 protein drinks.
Tomorrow, I will get back to the no carbs. I am a little mad at myself for not being better prepared.
