An Observation

Ok, I have been tracking my weight daily for about four months.  Obsessive much?  Anyway I have noticed a pattern that is almost invarable.  I will get on the scale and weigh myself and lets say it's like now, 155.8.  The next day it will say 155.8 and the next day and the next until I show a loss.  It may tease me a bit and say 155.4 for a second but then it changes to 155.8.  I would think that it would change daily, one day be 155.8, the next 155.6 but it stays the same until the next loss.  A couple of times I have gained but I have never lost or gained weight two days in a row.
Does anyone else have that kind of pattern?  I know, I have entirely too much time on my hands.  I need to put the scale away.

During the losing phase, I consistantly stayed the same or went down, even if by a little. I think there was one time where I was up a partial pound. Now since I have been trying to maintain, I am up and down the same few pounds all the time, last week there was a huge dip, now I am back in my range. I weigh daily too. I do not track or log it, but I like to make sure I am where I am supposed to be. Maybe someday I will be comfortable enough to stop, but not anytime soon.

I don't plan on stopping.  In the past the only time I didn't weigh myself was when I was on the way up and didn't want to face it.  For me, not weighing is being in denial, it means that I don't care how my eating is affecting my weight or I don't want to deal with it.

My pattern is that I weigh the same pounds, not ounces for several days, usually 3ish, then lose a pound.  I do that for a couple of cycles, then go about a week with no loss.  In the very beginning, I lost a pound a day for a while but since then, it is very regular in it's own pattern.

I've slowed down a great deal.  I used to loss about a pound every 3 or 4 days.  Now I can go 5 or more days and only lose about half a pound.

Ladytazz I love Ur obsession lol.  It certainly beats DENIAL when we didn't step on the scale for MONTHS ...if not years lol.

That  said - I bet Ure a HOTTIE  .   and it doesnt make a darn bit of difference if those  hot  pounds  are  poured into  jeans at  155.8  or 153  lol- REALLY ....  its mostly in our MINDS

I really regret  not being a full figured plus size model all these years because i was beating myself up for being too fat ...

I missed a  LOT of opportunities to SHINE

I missed a lot of opportunities to accept myself and love myself along the way  of my recovery ....

I have had to throw out  many a beautiful clothing in an intermediate size  I NEVER got to wear ...

dont let that happen to U

NEVER forget Ure a MAGNIFICENT  woman.... what maybe Uve lost in skin tone  Uve gained in wisdom and compassion  in SPADES - any man is lucky  if U give him even a bit of Ur time

U are a QUEEN

A BEAUTIFUL , PERFECT , 155.8  lb one ........

During my downward trend I either lost or maintained.  My scale never went up...

I don't think you're obsessive at all.  I did weigh everyday, but only recorded my weight when it went down.  I have a very nice chart of my weight loss by month.  Whats nice is I can look at any reference point any month and see how I did.  So if it looked like I only lost 5 lbs in a month, I could look at the 15th-15th and see I lost 10 during that time frame.  Definitely helps the mind when you think you're not doing well.....

It also helps with the perceived "stalls".  When I thought I was in a stall, I looked back and saw I really wasn't.  Yes, it may have slowed for a period of time, but I never had a true stall.

The scale works as an accountable tool for different people in different ways.  If it works for you - keep it!!

I would go up and down until a few days when I'd stay down and then I'd go up and down from the new lower point.

Oh and I never stalled either.
