Hello everyone my name is Stacey and I am a chronic accident prone person.
I have accepted this and embraced this title.

LOL....
So with that being said, the story is like this, our back porch needs repaired and long story short. I FELL through it

After regular tylenol and ice today, I am still having massive pain in my knee.

So, question to everyone, Can I take tylenol with codeine in it???
I have it prescribed for me for my many accidents that I have endured over the years and have called my PCP. It is not broke just really bruised and painful. Forgot to ask him about the meds...

So can I have it???

I think it would be fine. Sometimes things affect me more strongly post-op, so only take one and don't do it right before you plan to go somewhere or drive, etc.

NSAIDS are the only no-no's I've heard. If you need it, take it. Get some rest and I hope you'll feel better tomorrow.

As long as you're not allergic to it, you can take it. Just don't drive, if it makes you feel drowsy. Your choices are limited since, NSAID's are forbidden. Keep icing the knew and maybe put a compression bandage around it, to reduce swelling. Try to keep the knee elevated (tough I know).

Oh Stacey, I'm so sorry.  Right before Christmas with all the activity and children, timing couldn't have been worse.  I think you are fine taking what you need and the ice should help too.  You might think about one of the heat rubs, just not aspercream, if you need to be out driving or something you don't feel comfortable doing with the drugs.

Price,
I completely that this is the worst time of the year for this to happen. I was not able to go out today and mail off my goodies to my family. The kids  understand but it doesnt stop from the "Hey Mom, MOMMY" and Hey can you get ......." Eventually they will learn.

I'm sorry, Stacey!

Please be sure to have ample food on your tummy before taking anything.  I made the mistake of eating about 1/2 hour before, and that wasn't enough!
