Last night was a little rough, but I made it and today I am feeling SO much better! I am currently drinking apple juice with purple dye in it to check for leaks from a drain that was placed in surgery. I usually hate apple juice, but let me tell you, it never ever tasted so good! :D (Oh, it also helps that the doctor/nutritionist, the night male nurse and the xray tech are all super hot! lol)  I woke up today and turned to my hubby and said, "I can't believe I did it." So, here I am, on the loser's bench.

One thing I think is funny now that I'm past it, is that I woke up in a lot of pain in the recovery room and I kept yelling out in Spanish how much it hurt and could someone PLEASE give me something! (I speak Spanish and teach it at my university where I am getting my Master's. ) :)

P.S. I've never heard of lizard swinging.. what is that?

Good luck to everyone who is going to/in surgery today!

Abby

Haha, I'll be there a week from now so good to know I'll have some eye candy to distract from the pain.

Congrats! It's a good sign that you feel go good already, hopefully I am that quick. What was that phrase in Spanish, just in case I need it, lol.

Ha! Well, it's in your packet of info under "helpful phrases," but it's "Tengo dolor." Practice that a LOT so you will be able to remember it when you're groggy! "OWWWWWWW!" probably works just as well. haha

Most of the other patients that went with me yesterday are up and walking a lot, too, so they must be doing ok! Boy, I will be one happy girl when I can finally wash my hair. I feel like a HOT MESS. :)

Woo Hoo, another one on the bench.  Sip, walk, rest.  Repeat.
Swinging lizards is good thoughts, prayers, holding in the light, etc.  Just a term for we love and support you.
