Tiffany - I TOTALLY hear ya! I am having the MGB in January and posted on the main forum inquiring if there were any other mgb'ers around and got absolutely trashed. Went from a bashing session to a "whose surgery is better" etc etc. I can confidently say this forum is completely different! They are a wonderful group of caring and hilarious individuals that are overwhelmingly supportive, positive, and welcoming to everyone :)
I'm still fairly new and don't have a whole lot to contribute, but since I've been here I haven't seen any kind of judgemental garbage or anything other than a lot of fantastic people :)
And there's my rant for today.. hehe

Yes, I think in my ranting I forgot to reiterate how much support and positivity there is in this particular forum. I'm so glad to have this place to come to now and throughout my journey.
Thank you all for being here!
I am a work of art in progress

Hi ... I'm Amy ... I just started week 2 of my pre-op diet (liquid with one lean/green meal a day)
Had my blood work and EKG today.  I'm schedule for sleeve on 12/28.   I posted on the forum today .... was looking for stories of people who have lost weight in the past but have found that WLS has made it easeir to maintain their weight loss.  I love the way y'all treat each other.

Yes I am a lurker!  I am almost 7 weeks out.  Down 26 lbs.  No major complications.  I am very sensitive to the ketosis but since I resigned myself to drink calories Ive been drinking grape juice every morning and I feel much more human.  Nausea gone!
Working on increasing my diet, adding soft meats.  Fighting with the sugar cravings this week terrible!  Trying to find protein drinks I like is difficult.
This forum seems so suportive.  Ive mostly read the RNY forum.  Might just switch to this one!
Thanks,
Stephanie
