30 pounds is different for everyone

Does anyone else notice that when they lose weight it goes un-noticed? I have lost 30 pounds and I still wear the same clothes (although they fit better), but some ppl have changed sizes and their pics show notable differences. I started at 5'7" 245 day of surgery. Is it possible that our bodies just distribute differently? I have never lost this much in a month so I am thrilled I just wi**** were noticable to others....maybe another month and they'll have no choice but to notice, lol

My first 50 pounds weren't really as noticeable for me as the ones that came off after that. When you get quite a bit smaller, even ten pounds really shows a LOT. But, at first, it takes people a while to realize we are losing. But when they DO start to notice, it's fabulous!

Get ready for some fun. You are doing a great job.

My doctor told me I had a good distribution of weight although I think (if possible) the 30 pounds came from my stomach area.

You are doing great getting to goal!

I want to know how people that weigh 20 lbs more then me wear a smaller size then I do? I weigh 156 lbs and wear a size 12 and I hear about people that weight 180 lbs and wear a size 10. I know that clothing sizes are not universal but it seems to be a big difference.

I don't know - maybe it has to do with designer or weight distribution. Size 12 - that's awesome! I am a 16 now.

I think it's height too.  Like someone who is 5 feet and weighs 150 will wear a bigger size than someone 5'6'' and weighs 150.....  Their waist will be much smaller and they may need longer but their "clothing size" is smaller.

I think anyway......

I think it may have something to do with body fat percentages, too.  Someone may weigh the same as me but have a lower percentage of body fat will probably wear a smaller size.

I was in the same size for the 1st 30 lbs.  But now, it seems like every 10lbs make a huge difference in how my clothes fit.  My upper body shrunk more than my lower, well really more than my tummy.  My butt and legs have lost a bunch.  I can wear most medium tops (10-12) but large pants (14-16).
